This morning Matthew had to have some blood drawn for his next round of allergy testing. Having seen how he reacts to shots, I was fully prepared for deafening shrieks and an all out battle to keep him still. But he completely surprised me. He didn't fight. He didn't scream. He didn't even cry. He complained a bit and said, "Ow!" once. And they had to poke him twice to get enough blood. He handled it like a complete pro, managing to charm the lab techs in the process. By the time we were done, they were both ready to take him home.
Now if only he could teach Nathan this skill . . .

All he needs is to add a "pain" to his "ow" and he'll be just like his Uncle Seth!
Good for him - and you. They grow up so fast... he must have it figured out that you're helping him. Smart kiddo.
