Welcoming the New Year

The last few New Year’s Eves have seen us celebrating with friends. We eat dinner, play games, usually celebrate the new year as it rolls into New York and get home to put the little ones to bed at a somewhat decent time. Kev and I have become a bit hermitish over the years, so it has been nice to get together with people we know and like. Last night we had a grand time, discovered a super fun new board game (it’s already in my Amazon wish list), cheered the new year in at 10:00 and managed to get to bed in enough time that I wasn’t a complete mess at 9:00 church this morning. Malia also had some hands on experience with birds. Super low key and super fun!
