Motivated to Dance

It’s recital season again. Malia is still enjoying her dance lessons. The tap still seems to come a bit easier to her, but she has watched several movies about ballet dancers and is super excited about seeing “The Nutcracker” ballet later this year, so her interest in ballet has ramped up. She asked me when she can start wearing pointe shoes so she knows she’s still years away from that, but I’ve also told her that everything she is learning now will help her be ready to go on toe if her interest continues. She still forgets to smile when she is onstage because she gets nervous, but she has made a lot of progress this year. It has been fun to see!
