Daniel and Nathan started school this week and it was just in time to. They were just about to kill each other. It has been (and will continue to be) an adjustment. In addition to moving to a year round calendar, they have come from a school of 350 to a school of 1300. But so far they seem to like their teachers, Nathan has loved packing his lunch and eating it at school, and Daniel is very excited by the fact that he gets to keep a water bottle at his desk. I drove them to and from school for two and a half days, after which they were pretty confident that they could find their way when walking. Except for the heat in the afternoon, they really seem to enjoy walking. I think it makes them feel independent and just a little bit grown up.
And me? Shopping with just Matthew (who is still young enough to strap into the cart) is pretty dang pleasant.
