While we didn’t give the kids any experience gifts for Christmas, we did tell them that we would be watching for opportunities for experiences throughout the year. As things have started to open back up, we’ve taken advantage of some opportunities to get the kids out and about. Today Kevin took Matthew out to Tooele to drive go carts. At fourteen, Matthew is already looking ahead to being able to drive, so driving the carts was a tantalizing sneak peak at what is to come. Of course, the rules of the road are far different from the rules of the go cart track, but I suspect that actually makes the go carts a bit more of an adrenaline rush. My two boys had a marvelous time.
